Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior HVAC Commercial Building Controls Technician to join our team at Estes Services. This role will involve designing, installing, and maintaining complex building automation systems, ensuring optimal performance and efficiency.

Key Responsibilities
  • Utilize Niagara N4 certification and knowledge to install supervisory controllers, program field controllers, develop software graphics, and manage licensing and firmware updates.
  • Coordinate all Controls Projects and Service Calls, ensuring timely completion and customer satisfaction.
  • Provide exceptional customer service, answering phone calls, speaking with customers, and addressing their concerns.
  • Design, price, and generate proposals for Controls Related Projects, showcasing expertise and professionalism.
  • Order materials, inventory, and schedule projects, ensuring seamless execution.
  • Track and manage Controls Division Financials and Profitability, providing accurate and timely reports.
  • Program logic, integrate systems, and create graphics for Tridium Niagara N4/AX, Honeywell Spyder 5, and Honeywell Spyder Classic Controllers.
  • Perform service calls, troubleshoot issues, and make repairs to Honeywell, Carrier, and other DDC Control Systems.
  • Train and certify Controls Division personnel, ensuring they possess the necessary skills and knowledge.
  • Install new field controllers, sensors, actuators, dampers, valves, relays, and other equipment as required.
  • Run cable, wire, and EMT type conduit as needed, ensuring safe and efficient installation.
  • Make cable connections to field devices and DDC controllers, ensuring seamless integration.
  • Troubleshoot medium and low voltage cabling and wiring, resolving issues efficiently.
Requirements
  • High School Diploma or GED required.
  • 5 years of HVAC service experience.
  • EPA License.
  • Tridium Niagara N4 Certification, N4 Advanced Level 1, N4 Advanced Level 2, Honeywell CIPer Certification, Honeywell Spyder Classic Certification, Honeywell Syder 5 Certification, Bacnet communications Certification.
  • Pass background and drug screen.
  • Valid driver's license and clean driving record.
  • Prove eligibility to work in the US.
  • Ability to organize and follow a set of guidelines and instructions.

Physical Demands
  • Must be well-groomed and wear approved company uniform at all times.
  • Pass drug test and physical as required by Estes Services.
  • Carry and set up a 32' ladder by yourself.
  • Must be able to physically perform job requirements, such as standing, crawling, bending, squatting, kneeling, or climbing ladders repeatedly.
  • Must be able to work in extreme weather and climate conditions.
  • Must be able to work in tight, poorly lit, and cramped conditions.
  • Must be able to execute all of the above functions safely and comply with applicable safety regulations.
