The Automotive Parts Specialist is responsible for retail sales of automotive components to customers, whether in-person, via the service department, or over the phone.

Key Responsibilities:
- Assist walk-in clients in identifying necessary parts, recommend related items, promote special offers, and ensure customers are aware of the complete product range.
- Retrieve items from inventory. If an item is unavailable, ascertain its availability and process an urgent order if requested.
- Respond to phone inquiries, providing pricing information and additional details. Support outside sales representatives with their orders.
- Prepare orders for daily shipping, delivery, or customer pickup.
- Support service technicians in selecting parts required for ongoing repairs.
- Initiate a repair order envelope for all new service requests.
- Inform the Shop Foreman and customers when ordered parts arrive.
- Ensure that parts can only be charged out when the Technician presents a duplicate repair order and a parts requisition.
- Maintain a friendly, professional, and efficient demeanor when interacting with all customers, both on the phone and in person.
- Keep the front and rear counter areas tidy and organized.
- Stay updated on new products and product enhancements.
- Must be legally and technically qualified to operate company and customer vehicles.
- Must be insurable by the company’s insurance provider.
- Adhere to all company safety protocols and report any incidents to a manager or supervisor immediately.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Ability to lift items weighing up to 50lbs.
- Capability to read and understand instructions and information.
- Minimum of one year experience in an automotive parts department.
- At least one year of sales experience.
- Strong interpersonal skills to effectively engage with the public, often managing multiple customers simultaneously.
- Possession of a valid driver's license with a satisfactory driving record.
