Job Summary
The Colville Tribes is seeking a highly skilled Mental Health Therapist to join our team. As a Mental Health Therapist, you will be responsible for delivering a broad range of mental health services to the community.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct mental health assessments and provide individual, family, and group counseling services.
- Develop and implement treatment plans to address mental health disorders.
- Provide crisis triage and follow-up counseling services.
- Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive care.
- Maintain accurate and confidential records of client interactions.
Requirements
- Master's degree in Mental Health Counseling, Psychology, Behavioral Therapy, or a related field.
- Valid State Driver's License and eligibility for the Tribe's vehicle insurance.
- Current unrestricted licensure as a clinical mental health therapist in any U.S. State or jurisdiction.
- Fist Aid and CPR certification or ability to obtain within 90 days of employment.
- Completion of HIV/AIDS and blood borne pathogens training within six months of employment.
- Verification of TB test or X-ray with negative results prior to employment.
Preferred Qualifications
- Knowledge of local Tribal Culture, Traditions, and practices.
- Knowledge of diversity in rural America and specifically on Indian reservations.
- Strong organization, communication, and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changing situations.
Working Conditions
- Ability to work in a variety of settings, including indoors and outdoors.
- Ability to lift, push, and pull light weight work materials and supplies.
- Ability to use a personal computer and other office equipment.
