Job Summary

The Colville Tribes is seeking a highly skilled Mental Health Therapist to join our team. As a Mental Health Therapist, you will be responsible for delivering a broad range of mental health services to the community.

Key Responsibilities

  • Conduct mental health assessments and provide individual, family, and group counseling services.
  • Develop and implement treatment plans to address mental health disorders.
  • Provide crisis triage and follow-up counseling services.
  • Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive care.
  • Maintain accurate and confidential records of client interactions.

Requirements

  • Master's degree in Mental Health Counseling, Psychology, Behavioral Therapy, or a related field.
  • Valid State Driver's License and eligibility for the Tribe's vehicle insurance.
  • Current unrestricted licensure as a clinical mental health therapist in any U.S. State or jurisdiction.
  • Fist Aid and CPR certification or ability to obtain within 90 days of employment.
  • Completion of HIV/AIDS and blood borne pathogens training within six months of employment.
  • Verification of TB test or X-ray with negative results prior to employment.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Knowledge of local Tribal Culture, Traditions, and practices.
  • Knowledge of diversity in rural America and specifically on Indian reservations.
  • Strong organization, communication, and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changing situations.

Working Conditions

  • Ability to work in a variety of settings, including indoors and outdoors.
  • Ability to lift, push, and pull light weight work materials and supplies.
  • Ability to use a personal computer and other office equipment.
