Minimum Qualifications
  • High School diploma or GED is preferred.
  • Prior experience in retail sales is advantageous.
  • Ability to adapt to the working conditions outlined below.
  • Capability to execute essential tasks and physical functions described below.
  • Proficiency in using the equipment, tools, and materials listed below.
  • Reliability in adhering to scheduled shifts and punctuality.
  • Effective communication skills in English, both verbal and written.
  • Basic arithmetic skills (addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division).
Key Responsibilities
  • Deliver prompt and courteous customer service.
  • Accurately process all sales transactions using the cash register, handling various payment methods.
  • Operate multiple machines including fuel consoles and lottery systems.
  • Maintain cleanliness and organization of the store, including equipment upkeep.
  • Inspect store facilities and equipment for safety and functionality.
  • Coordinate with maintenance for necessary repairs.
  • Assist in inventory management and ordering processes.
  • Verify and receive vendor deliveries.
  • Monitor merchandise and cash flow to minimize losses.
  • Support new applicants during the hiring process.
  • Work independently with minimal supervision.
  • Participate in job-related meetings, which may require flexible hours.
  • Perform additional tasks as assigned by management.
Working Environment
  • Primarily indoor work, with occasional outdoor tasks such as cleaning.
  • Exposure to cold temperatures in coolers and freezers.
  • Potential for noise exposure.
  • Ability to work with limited direction and periodic oversight.
Physical Requirements
  • Ability to stand and walk for extended periods, up to 8 hours.
  • Occasional lifting of items up to 30 pounds overhead.
  • Ability to lift items up to 60 pounds to waist level.
  • Capability to push or pull with a force of up to 20 pounds.
  • Ability to bend and twist for up to one hour.
  • Manual dexterity for handling objects throughout the workday.
