- Assist service members in creating effective spending plans for extended absences.
- Develop and distribute informative financial resources to support service members and their families.
- Organize and facilitate various Personal Financial Management workshops covering essential topics throughout the military lifecycle.
- Respond to requests for age-appropriate financial education classes or seminars.
- Utilize virtual counseling tools and electronic communication methods to provide support, ensuring compliance with program guidelines.
- Manage duty-to-warn situations in accordance with Department of Defense protocols.
- Engage with leadership and participate in regular supervision to discuss trends and issues affecting the installations.
- Participate in ongoing training and quality improvement initiatives as assigned.
- Perform additional duties as required.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree is required; however, candidates with an associate degree and four years of relevant experience or a high school diploma with six years of experience may also be considered.
- A minimum of three years of experience in financial counseling is necessary.
- Must be a U.S. citizen and proficient in English; bilingual skills in English and Spanish may be required based on contract specifications.
- Availability to work outside of standard office hours may be necessary to meet business needs.
- Ability to obtain a favorably adjudicated Tier 2 investigation is required.
- Possession of one of the following certifications is mandatory: Accredited Financial Counselor (AFC), Certified Financial Planner (CFP), or Chartered Financial Consultant (ChFC).
Compensation: The anticipated salary range for this position is between $53,125 and $84,995, subject to adjustment based on individual qualifications and experience.
