Role Summary

LMI is in search of a Project Manager to assist our Department of Homeland Security (DHS) clientele. This role involves overseeing the DHS SAFETY Act application lifecycle process. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in identifying and executing process enhancements to improve operational efficiencies.

Compensation

Target salary range: $119,140. Final compensation will be influenced by various factors including skills, experience, education, and certifications.

Key Responsibilities

  • Oversee and manage the SAFETY Act applications throughout the entire lifecycle, including post-award activities such as contours and reporting requirements.
  • Identify and propose enhancements on program, policy, and process matters while contributing to the development of policies, standard operating procedures (SOPs), templates, and job aids to support consistent and efficient case management.
  • Recognize, communicate, and resolve complex issues, proposing solutions to streamline application processing and reduce stakeholder complaints.
  • Implement quality assurance and quality control measures throughout the application lifecycle, ensuring all documents and final application packages meet established standards.
  • Collaborate with relevant leadership to identify and mitigate potential risks associated with applications.
  • Analyze application, technical, process, and policy information to assist leadership in identifying program and policy gaps and potential solutions.
  • Maintain regular, timely, and accurate communication regarding ongoing and future work activities.
  • Generate timely and precise reports, responses to inquiries, development requirements, and other deliverables.
  • Conduct analyses of ideas, policies, and technical issues related to the SAFETY Act Program.
  • Support OSAI with case management activities by applying program management skills at a level equivalent to DHS Program Management Level II.
  • Manage complex technical initiatives that may involve multiple aspects of SAFETY Act case management, including IT and software enhancements.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree; Master's Degree preferred.
  • A minimum of 10 years of relevant experience.
  • Proven experience in supervising complex programs and implementing process improvements.
  • Ability to engage effectively with various levels of federal clients and stakeholders.
  • Experience in developing, authoring, reviewing, analyzing, implementing, and maintaining documents, plans, and other management systems or processes.
  • Strong team management and leadership skills to effectively utilize office support staff in alignment with identified priorities and resources.
  • Proficient problem-solving abilities.
  • Excellent communication skills for interacting with diverse stakeholders.
  • Ability to prioritize and manage multiple assignments efficiently.
  • Strong knowledge of MS Office Suite, SharePoint, MS Teams, and Adobe Acrobat Professional.
  • Understanding of software/application development is advantageous but not mandatory.
  • This position requires the ability to obtain a SECRET clearance.
