Key Responsibilities:

  • Maintain clear and concise work standards and goals, providing training and development to team members.
  • Conduct performance evaluations and make recommendations for required actions, including advancement, changes in status, or disciplinary action.
  • Work with the Quality Control Manager to provide leadership for Quality Control support activities, ensuring that products or services meet customer and Parsons' requirements.
  • Implement inspection, examination, and testing procedures, recording inspection, examination, and testing data.
  • Assist with the development of preventative maintenance schedules and provide inspection support as required.
  • Maintain inspection and NCR logs, reviewing quality records/documents for correctness and completeness.
  • Plan inspections, evaluations, and tests, setting up tests, including preparation and setup of related equipment.
  • Evaluate the validity and acceptability of inspection, examination, and testing results, reporting inspection, examination, and testing results.
  • Perform and document inspections of subcontractor work, overseeing subcontractor inspections and reviewing subcontractor-generated quality records.
  • Ensure QC inspectors follow HSE requirements applicable for their work scope.
  • Participate in establishing and implementing a Quality Controls Inspectors certification program.
  • Participate in qualifying and certifying QC Inspectors at all levels.
  • Assure inspection results are documented and communicated in a clear and concise manner.
  • Understand contract requirements and subcontractor(s) contract requirements.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, Physical Science, Math, Quality, or related field, and typically 8+ years related construction experience, or a High School/Trade School diploma and equivalent experience of at least 12+ years.
  • Previous experience in a supervisory or lead capacity required.
  • ASQ, CMQ, or CMQ/OE preferred.

Desired Skills:

  • Ability to get Quality Control Inspector Certification within 12 months of employment.
  • Be certified to perform activities in one or more of the following areas: Mechanical, Electrical, Plumbing, Instrumentation and Controls, Civil, Structural, Architectural, HVAC, Welding, Non-Destructive Examination, Receiving, and Special Processes.
  • Requires the ability to communicate clearly and interface effectively with a diverse group of professionals.
  • Strong analytical skills and the ability to communicate to all levels of the company.
  • Proficient in data collection, analysis, and presentation.
  • Excellent computer skills and proficiency with MS Word, Excel, Access.
