Job Title: Quality Assurance Coordinator

We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Quality Assurance Coordinator to join our team at Howmet Aerospace. As a Quality Assurance Coordinator, you will play a critical role in ensuring the quality of our products and services.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Manage the Internal Audit system, including developing audit schedules, assigning auditors, and monitoring system performance.
  • Coordinate with Factory Managers to identify and train internal auditors to ensure adequate resources are maintained to guarantee compliance.
  • Manage external QMS audits and Customer systems surveys, and assist area managers as needed to maintain compliance to their documented processes.
  • Manage the Document Control system, including reviewing and releasing documents, working with Factory Managers to ensure timely release of document updates, and providing routine updates of Document Control system performance to Factory Management.
  • Manage the Corrective Action system, including routinely monitoring Corrective Action system to ensure timely response on all open Corrective Actions, screening all Corrective Action responses for effective root cause determination and mitigation reaction, and monitoring CA system performance and providing routine updates/trends to Factory Management.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university in Business, Engineering, or related field.
  • Minimum of 3 years' experience with preventive Quality Systems.
  • Employees must be legally authorized to work in the United States. Verification of employment eligibility will be required at the time of hire. Visa sponsorship is not available for this position.
Preferred Requirements:
  • Minimum of 5 years' experience with preventive Quality Systems Management.
  • Experience with ASQ Certifications: CQE, CQM, CRE or CSSBB.
  • Knowledge of Aerospace product/process specification requirements (AMS, ASTM, etc.).
  • Experience in product and process failure analysis and an understanding of quality principles (SPC, TQM, etc.).
