Job Summary

As a key member of our People Team, you will partner with senior leaders to prioritize recruitment needs and manage a team of recruiters to ensure timely recruitment and selection of staff.



Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement departmental and organizational strategies to attract, recruit, and retain top talent across various business lines.
  • Lead full-cycle recruitment for director-level and executive recruitment processes in partnership with the Chief People Officer and Executive Team.
  • Partner with hiring managers and senior leadership to prioritize and manage recruitment and communicate frequently on progress, bottlenecks, and proposed solutions.
  • Track and report on key performance indicators to People and Executive Team leadership.
  • Proactively identify opportunities to embed principles of diversity, equity, inclusion, access, and belonging throughout talent acquisition processes.
  • Create, document, and maintain policies, processes, and standard operating procedures.
  • Serve as an advisor on best practices in recruitment and monitor trends through the development and nonprofit sectors.

Requirements
  • Leadership experience in Human Resources Talent Acquisition, Recruiting, Consulting, or equivalent, with demonstrable impact through leading and managing teams.
  • Strong knowledge of US federal and state laws regarding talent acquisition, with familiarity with USAID rules and regulations preferred.
  • Demonstrated experience maintaining professional and collaborative relationships with all levels of staff across the organization.
  • Excellent interpersonal and listening skills, with the ability to interact with all levels of staff and candidates in a professional manner.
  • Excellent organizational skills, with the ability to manage deadlines and work independently.
  • Excellent critical thinking skills and sound judgment, with a proven willingness to make timely and sound decisions based on accurate judgment.
  • Excellent influencing and negotiation skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to use Microsoft Office.
  • Fluency in English, written and oral, with abilities in a second language preferred.
  • Accuracy and attention to detail.
  • Ability to read and interpret documents and ability to sit at a computer and operate a keyboard.
  • A passion for the mission and values of Global Communities.


Qualifications
  • Undergraduate degree in a related discipline with a minimum of six years of related work experience or a minimum of ten years of related work experience.
  • Progressively responsible recruitment experience, including emergency response, international, and/or proposal-based recruitment, with international development sector experience preferred.
  • Advanced experience leveraging ATS systems, with experience using iCIMS preferred.
  • A passion for the mission and values of Global Communities.

Location and Work Schedule


This selected candidate can be based in Silver Spring, MD or San Diego, CA. Candidates must be authorized to work in their preferred country without any restriction.



This role is on a hybrid/telework schedule. The selected candidate is expected to work at least twice a week (Tuesday, Wednesday, or Thursday) from either our San Diego or Silver Spring office and the remainder of the week from an approved remote location.



Salary and Compensation


For US-based candidates, the estimated salary for this position is between $100,250 - $125,313. Salary outside of the US will be based on market and location. Final salary will be based on several factors including qualifications, geographic location, experience, and internal equity. Global Communities provides a comprehensive benefits package; please note that this position is not eligible for allowances.
