Job OverviewPosition Summary

The role involves ensuring the electrical integrity of the project.

Key Responsibilities
  • Establishes safe Maintenance of Traffic (M.O.T) protocols through the setup and removal of traffic control devices such as cones, message boards, and temporary signage.
  • Handles installation, upkeep, and repair of electrical apparatus including transformers, switchboards, panel boards, conduit systems, disconnects, contactors, circuit breakers, motor starters, relays, controllers, motors, heaters, CCTV systems, lane control signals, electronic message displays, lighting systems, PLCs, and VFDs.
  • Possesses a strong understanding of NEC codes and regulations.
  • Utilizes advanced troubleshooting techniques to effectively identify faults across various electrical systems and assets, ensuring timely and cost-effective repairs in compliance with NEC standards.
  • Maintains high-quality workmanship.
  • Collaborates effectively with other trades, teams, and inspectors.
  • Performs basic maintenance and repairs on structures.
  • Available for emergency response rotations, including overtime, evenings, weekends, and holidays as necessary.

  • Required to wear appropriate Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) for the job.
  • Exhibits strong communication and cooperation skills with colleagues and supervisors.
  • Capable of performing basic mathematical functions such as addition, subtraction, multiplication, division, and calculating proportions and percentages.
  • Understands and follows instructions provided in written, oral, or diagrammatic forms.
  • Ability to read and interpret safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, procedure manuals, electrical schematics, and relevant electrical meters.
Education and Experience
  • High School Diploma or GED.
  • Licensed as an Electrical Journeyman in the relevant County/State.
  • Two years of experience at the journeyman level in an industrial or commercial setting (preferred).
  • Possession of a valid Electrical Journeyman license or the ability to obtain one within three months of hire (required).
  • Valid driver's license with an acceptable driving record (required).

Work Conditions

Physical Demands

  • Regularly required to stand, sit, walk on various surfaces, use hands for handling, reach with arms, climb, balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl, and communicate effectively.
  • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and utilize manual and powered tools and equipment. Vision requirements include close and distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.
  • Must be capable of working from heights using bucket trucks, scaffolding, ladders, and aerial platform lifts.
  • Ability to work in confined spaces and under varying temperature conditions.

Work Environment

  • Exposed to outdoor weather conditions, including extreme temperatures.
  • Occasional exposure to wet or humid conditions, high places, and airborne particles.
  • May encounter toxic or caustic chemicals, with noise levels typically ranging from moderate to high.
