Job Title: Clinical Pharmacist

We are seeking a highly skilled Clinical Pharmacist to join our team at Lancaster General Health. As a Clinical Pharmacist, you will play a critical role in providing medication-related care to patients and collaborating with physicians and other healthcare professionals to evaluate drug therapy and improve patient outcomes.

Job Summary:

The Clinical Pharmacist will be responsible for:

  • Evaluating drug therapy and providing recommendations to physicians and other healthcare professionals
  • Conducting drug utilization reviews to ensure the quality of drug use
  • Providing education to patients and healthcare professionals on the safe and effective use of medications
  • Assisting in the development of practice standards and procedures for education, staff development, and policy manuals
  • Providing drug information education to staff physicians and assisting in the preparation of pharmacists for clinical activities
Requirements:

To be considered for this role, you must have:

  • A Doctor of Pharmacy (Pharm.D.) degree or a Bachelor of Science in Pharmacy (B.S. Pharmacy) degree with equivalent relevant experience
  • Current licensure (or eligible to reciprocate) in the State of Pennsylvania
  • ASHP-Accredited Pharmacy Practice Residency or equivalent experience preferred
  • A health care provider in good standing with Medicare, Medicaid, and other federal and state health insurance programs
Preferred Qualifications:

Equivalent of three (3) years experience as a hospital pharmacist
