Role Summary:The Pro Shop Sales Associate plays a vital role in the daily operations of the Pro Shop. This position involves welcoming guests, providing assistance with inquiries about retail merchandise, and processing transactions for all items sold. The associate is tasked with maintaining an organized and clean retail environment while ensuring that the shop is well-stocked. A key responsibility includes effectively closing sales by understanding guest needs and recommending suitable products.
Key Responsibilities:- Punctually report for scheduled shifts.
- Follow Standard Operating Procedures for opening and closing the shop.
- Greet every guest entering and exiting the Pro Shop.
- Demonstrate proficiency in using computer systems.
- Manage the Shop Desk Bank responsibly.
- Answer phone calls promptly, using the guest's name during conversations.
- Maintain eye contact when interacting with guests.
- Address guest inquiries and concerns with professionalism and courtesy.
- Provide immediate and accurate responses to guest requests, ensuring satisfaction.
- Keep the work and retail areas clean, safe, and well-organized.
- Work independently without constant supervision and remain at assigned posts for extended periods.
- Foster a positive atmosphere and contribute to a quality work environment.
- Participate in training sessions and staff meetings regularly.
- Report any maintenance issues in the Pro Shop to management.
- Assist in various operational areas of the Pro Shop as directed by management.
- Communicate significant guest interactions to management for attention.
- Handle cash and credit transactions accurately, adhering to company policies.
- Ensure cleanliness and organization of the Pro Shop, bag storage, food and beverage area, and cart storage.
- Participate in monthly inventory checks, being knowledgeable about merchandise.
- Maintain cleanliness and restock comfort stations on the golf course daily.
- Assist in creating and maintaining attractive retail displays.
- Detail-oriented with strong multitasking abilities.
- Efficient and productive in a retail setting.
- Enthusiastic, friendly, and outgoing personality with excellent customer service skills.
- Basic math and money handling proficiency.
- Strong communication, listening, and computer skills.
- Enjoy working with people and being a team player.
- Ability to remain calm under pressure.
- Promote a healthy and balanced lifestyle through personal example.
- High School Diploma or equivalent.
- Previous experience in retail or customer service is preferred.
