Job Title: AWS Cloud Engineer

We are seeking a highly skilled AWS Cloud Engineer to join our team at Nightwing. As a Cloud Engineer, you will be responsible for designing, implementing, and managing cloud-based systems and infrastructure.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design and implement cloud-based systems and infrastructure
  • Manage and maintain cloud-based systems and infrastructure
  • Ensure security and compliance of cloud-based systems and infrastructure
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure smooth operation of cloud-based systems and infrastructure

Requirements:

  • Hands-on experience with AWS and Linux in a production environment
  • Experience patching and maintaining system's databases, to include RDS, MySQL, and Oracle
  • Proven experience troubleshooting and solving technical problems
  • Knowledge of Federated Identity, RBAC, authentication & authorization solution, etc.
  • Understanding of secure-cloud configuration, (e.g., CloudTrail, AWS Config), cloud-security technologies (e.g., VPC, Security Groups) and Access Control (IAM)
  • Experience with configuration management (e.g., Puppet, Chef, Ansible, CloudFormation, etc.)
  • Experience with security, such as NGFW, WAF, SIEM, endpoint security
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced agile environment
  • Bachelor's Degree in IT related field or equivalency in related work experience
  • Demonstrated on-the-job experience working and solving technical problems independently as a system administrator
  • Experience using a scripting language
  • Demonstrated ability to monitor and troubleshoot enterprise workflow applications, to include installing, starting, and stopping background processes, analyzing log and event files, and patching and troubleshooting
  • Demonstrated ability creating and managing a virtual infrastructure, such as AWS, Azure, Hyper-V, or VMWare

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience with an enterprise application development language, such as Python, Java, or C#, to include writing simple applications or modifying existing ones
  • AWS certifications and other related industry certifications are desired
