Position Overview

Echo360 Inc is seeking a skilled Cloud Security Specialist to bolster and sustain the organization's security framework utilizing AWS solutions such as Security Hub, GuardDuty, among others. The Cloud Security Specialist will play a pivotal role in establishing and overseeing security measures, broadening coverage, enhancing visibility, and setting up alerting systems within the AWS environment. This position emphasizes cloud security operations and will contribute to the SOC2 audit process through thorough evaluations and internal assessments.

Work Arrangement

This role is fully remote; we welcome applicants from various states across the United States. Candidates must be authorized to work in the United States for any employer.

Key Responsibilities

  • Leverage AWS security tools (e.g., Security Hub, GuardDuty) to enhance coverage, visibility, and alerting mechanisms.
  • Collaborate with SRE, DevOps, and development teams to implement and manage security controls.
  • Conduct routine evaluations and internal audits to ensure SOC2 compliance.
  • Engage with VAPT partners to mitigate security vulnerabilities and provide clean reports for clients.
  • Assist in upholding governance and compliance of security policies, standards, procedures, and guidelines.
  • Promote the integration of security practices across all engineering teams.
  • Establish automation for security monitoring and alerting within AWS.

Ideal Candidate Profile

  • In-depth understanding and experience with AWS security tools and services.
  • Proficient in configuring automation and alerting within AWS.
  • Familiarity with SOC2 compliance requirements and audit methodologies.
  • Strong collaborative skills to work effectively with DevOps, development teams, and security partners.
  • Expertise in managing security controls and addressing vulnerabilities in a cloud setting.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication abilities.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with additional cloud platforms such as GCP or Azure.
  • Relevant security certifications including CISM, CISSP, or AWS Certified Security Specialty.
  • Knowledge of various compliance frameworks such as ISO, GDPR, and PCI.

Compensation

The salary range for this position is between $125,000 and $145,000 annually. Compensation may vary based on several factors, including the candidate's qualifications, skills, and experience. Base pay is one component of the Total Package offered to recognize and reward employees for their contributions.
