We are looking for an experienced HVAC Service Operations Manager to guide a talented team. In this essential role within Tidewater Staffing Solutions, you will manage the daily functions of our HVAC service division, ensuring top-notch service and client satisfaction.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Achieve planned gross profit by managing client expectations and ensuring satisfaction through effective supervision of the assigned team of technicians.
  • Oversee approximately 40 client accounts.
  • Organize and delegate tasks to technicians based on client contracts and expectations.
  • Ensure efficient and cost-effective use of tools, equipment, and materials while optimizing field operations.
  • Conduct site inspections to assess equipment and performance, providing guidance for improvement to meet client standards.
  • Engage with clients to foster and maintain long-term relationships, conducting annual evaluations.
  • Lead and mentor technicians, offering training and support to ensure job completion; provide constructive feedback and maintain employee morale through regular engagement.
  • Address client needs and complaints promptly, ensuring resolution through follow-up.
  • Assist the sales team in developing new contracts with clients.
  • Evaluate and manage expenses related to individual client contracts.
  • Forecast workforce needs, organizational changes, and profit levels.
  • Collaborate with service and operations managers to establish guidelines for crew size based on client needs.
  • Secure renewal agreements with customers.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • At least 5 years of experience in roles such as Service Technician, Service Manager, Project Sales Representative, or Operations Manager.
  • Experience managing commercial accounts in various settings, including commercial, educational, governmental, or industrial facilities; a minimum of 5 years is preferred.

SKILLS & ABILITIES:

  • Fundamental knowledge of the HVAC service industry.
  • Strong understanding of account management is preferred.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel, and other relevant software.
  • Excellent mathematical skills for budget preparation, workforce analysis, and related tasks.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills, capable of conveying information effectively to diverse audiences.
  • Exceptional interpersonal skills to build positive relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Proven leadership abilities to train, supervise, and motivate team members.
  • Collaborative mindset with a focus on consistent communication with team members.
  • Self-motivated and capable of working independently while integrating with project teams.
  • Demonstrated optimism and problem-solving skills to navigate challenges effectively.
  • Ability to approach new situations with creativity and determination.
  • High productivity and sensitivity to time and cost factors in project management.
  • Strong organizational skills to manage schedules and prioritize tasks effectively.
