School Nurse

This exempt professional will work closely with students, parents, and staff to provide exceptional health services, ensuring a safe and healthy learning environment. Key Responsibilities:
- Administer medications from physicians' orders (orally, parentally, nasogastric, or gastrostomy tube)
- Maintain accurate nurse's notes and records, including summaries of services provided
- Manage and provide health room services, including first aid and CPR, according to established procedures
- Perform medical procedures ordered by students' physicians (catheterization, ostomy care, suctioning, glucose testing, and other approved procedures)
- Work collaboratively with school administrators, teachers, and support staff to ensure seamless student care
Requirements:
- Valid Massachusetts (DESE) Nursing license preferred but not required
- At least a Associate's Degree in the area of major study
- Experience in school, pediatric, public health, or other relevant nursing experience is preferred
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive situations professionally
