Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Production Control Supervisor to join our team at Johnson Controls International. As a key member of our manufacturing operations, you will be responsible for overseeing all production control activities and ensuring that customer commitment dates are met.

Key Responsibilities
  • Supervise production control functions and staff to ensure efficient and effective production planning and execution.
  • Develop and implement optimized fabrication schedules to meet customer demands and maximize production throughput.
  • Collaborate with materials team to resolve production date gaps and quality control issues.
  • Investigate material discrepancies and ensure accurate production reporting.
  • Manage materials master settings and coordinate with production control staff, production teams, purchasing, and manufacturing engineering.
  • Review and analyze production levels and lot sizes to optimize production planning.
  • Identify and correct system errors related to production reporting, backflushing, and inventory accuracy.
  • Maintain effective working relationships and communication with all departments.
  • Operate within budget and contribute to the overall reduction of overhead and expenses.
  • Support and participate in lean activities in the plant and build a strong, motivated production control team.
Requirements
  • Associate degree and five to seven years of related experience in production control or a related field.
  • Leadership/supervisory experience and analytical skills to take data and provide a full story to the management team.
  • Excel proficiency and experience with SAP.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Access, and PowerPoint).
  • APICS certification and experience with SAP modules (Sales and Distribution, Warehouse Management, or Materials Management) are a plus.
