Framatome is seeking a highly skilled Production / Process Engineer to join our team in Lynchburg, VA. As a key member of our Instrumentation & Controls Business Unit, you will play a critical role in the development and implementation of innovative solutions for the global nuclear fleet.

Key Responsibilities
  • Design and Development: Perform routine and non-routine engineering assignments in areas of production and tooling development, evaluation, testing, and preparation of specifications and standard work instructions for manufacturing.
  • Manufacturing Expertise: Leverage your knowledge of computer-aided design (CAD) software, such as Solidworks, to create and improve processes for manufacturing various Incore Detector Assembly Products.
  • Problem-Solving: Independently evaluate, select, and apply standard technical techniques, procedures, and criteria using judgment in making minor adaptations and modifications.
  • Collaboration: Work with a team to ensure production components are manufactured safely, with high quality, and minimal cost.

  • Competitive Compensation: The range of base salary for this position is between $82,000 - $111,000, and may also include annual incentives, performance bonuses, and benefits.

Requirements
  • Education: A BS in Mechanical Engineering or a related field, with an advanced degree preferred.
  • Experience: At least 3 years of experience in an engineering role, with a strong background in mechanical or general component design, manufacturing, and inspection.
  • Skills: Excellent communication skills, including the ability to comprehend and convey technical data, and strong problem identification and resolution skills.
