Principal Product Manager, Technical

Job Summary:

Amazon is seeking a highly skilled Principal Product Manager to lead the development of Kuiper aviation services. The successful candidate will have a deep understanding of satellite broadband and telecommunications services for aviation customers.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Define the products and service strategy for Kuiper aviation services to meet the requirements of different customer verticals.
  • Create detailed product requirements documents based on an intimate knowledge of the specific customer verticals, including use case prioritization, feature definition, and product roadmap.
  • Work with the leadership team to set the customer strategy and make appropriate high-judgment trade-offs between features and speed-to-launch.
  • Manage the entire product life cycle from strategic planning to tactical execution and work with key internal and external stakeholders to deliver on that vision.
  • Responsible for launch plan and enablement, working to ensure that all teams have what they need to be successful.
  • Discover new business development opportunities, lead calls with key customers, create tools to support the success, and help to identify opportunities to increase that success.
  • Establish goals and reviewing metrics to identify opportunities and deliver success.
  • Research and identify new opportunities to innovate on behalf of our customers.
  • Anticipate bottlenecks, manage risk, and escalations, and balance the business needs versus technical constraints.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree.
  • 7+ years of experience owning/driving roadmap strategy and definition.
  • 5+ years of experience with feature delivery and trade-offs of a product.
  • 5+ years of experience in technical product management.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Experience working directly with engineers on product enhancements.
  • Experience in project management methodologies, business analysis, or process improvement.

Compensation:

The base pay for this position ranges from $161,900/year in our lowest geographic market up to $279,900/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience.

Amazon is a total compensation company. Dependent on the position offered, equity, sign-on payments, and other forms of compensation may be provided as part of a total compensation package, in addition to a full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits.
