Job Description

Microsoft is seeking a highly motivated Principal Software Engineer to join our team. As a key member of our software engineering team, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and implementing software solutions for our products.

Responsibilities
  • Design and develop software solutions for our products
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather software requirements
  • Develop and execute software integration and validation plans
  • Lead efforts to optimize, debug, refactor, and reuse code
  • Serve as a mentor to the team and guide them on complex features and systems
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related technical field
  • 6+ years of technical engineering experience with coding in languages including C, C++, C#, Java, JavaScript, or Python
  • Experience in designing, developing, debugging, and shipping low-level drivers on Windows
  • Ability to meet Microsoft, customer, and/or government security screening requirements
Preferred Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related technical field and 10+ years of technical engineering experience
  • Master's degree in Computer Science or related technical field and 8+ years of technical engineering experience
  • Experience with software version control systems (such as GIT, ADO, etc.) for large-scale software development
  • Ability to create and manage continuous integration (CI) and continuous deployment (CD) pipelines
