The Closing/Escrow Manager will oversee the closing and escrow team, ensuring the efficient tracking and reporting of all active escrows. This role includes the preparation of sales reports and escrow flow charts for distribution, as well as the review and preparation of individual lot escrow instructions.

Key Responsibilities

  • Recruit, train, and manage the workload of closing associates
  • Coordinate New Home Orientation (NHO) and settlement schedules with production teams
  • Process closing instructions for submission to title and mortgage companies
  • Address settlement closing inquiries and issues promptly
  • Maintain daily settlement and projection reports
  • Provide monthly backlog projections for settlements
  • Update mortgage status with relevant mortgage providers
  • Maintain and update reports regarding mortgage status and closing dates
  • Review and sign seller documents for settlements
  • Manage and update the closing calendar
  • Create and distribute reports for various stakeholders
  • Send settlement notification letters to buyers and production teams
  • Obtain HUD approvals
  • Track temporary occupancy permits and lender escrows for refunds
  • Ensure accuracy in the execution of contracts and closing documentation
  • Assist with various assigned projects as necessary

Qualifications

  • High School Diploma or GED required
  • At least 7 years of experience in mortgage and title processes
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office, Excel, and JD Edwards
  • Ability to manage multiple detailed tasks with concurrent deadlines
  • Strong writing and organizational skills
  • Demonstrated work ethic, integrity, and loyalty
  • Team-oriented with the ability to perform well under pressure

Compensation Overview:

The expected base salary for this position ranges from $66,000 to $107,886, subject to adjustments based on qualifications and other business-related factors. This position may also be eligible for bonuses and commissions, along with the benefits outlined above.
