Job Title: Associate Designer, Outdoor Furniture

At Williams-Sonoma, we're seeking a talented Associate Designer to join our team in creating innovative and stylish outdoor furniture designs. As an Associate Designer, you will play a key role in developing products that reflect our brand's commitment to quality, functionality, and aesthetics.

Responsibilities:
  • Translate trends and concepts into designs that meet business needs for outdoor furniture products
  • Develop designs from initial concept through approval, collaborating with cross-functional teams
  • Pull tears and assemble concepts, ensuring accuracy and attention to detail
  • Create presentation decks that effectively communicate design ideas and vision
  • Develop designs through sketching and 3D modeling, utilizing industry-standard software
  • Prepare product renderings that showcase designs in a realistic and appealing manner
  • Present designs to design, merchant, and leadership teams, effectively communicating design intent and vision
  • Complete product specifications and CADs, ensuring accuracy and attention to detail
  • Own the development process through daily communication with the sourcing department, vendors, and agents
  • Comment on product samples, providing feedback and guidance on design and quality
  • Issue product approvals, ensuring that designs meet business needs and quality standards
  • Coordinate sample presentations and organize samples, ensuring timely and effective communication
Requirements:
  • Minimum 2-3 years of professional experience in design or a related field
  • Degree in design or equivalent experience
  • Experience with drafting, 3D modeling, and rendering software (Autocad, Rhino, and Keyshot)
  • Proficiency in Photoshop, InDesign, Illustrator, and Outlook
