About the Role

We are seeking a skilled MRI Technologist to join our team at Northwest Community Healthcare (NCH). As a key member of our Radiology Department, you will be responsible for performing MRI procedures with minimal supervision, documenting procedures, and maintaining patient records.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform all established MRI imaging procedures, selecting proper technique protocols.
  • Prepare and position patients for MRI procedures, using immobilization devices as required.
  • Process and develop images per established procedures.
  • Assess, treat, and care for patients of all ages, implementing assessment/treatment/care based on developmental stages.
  • Retrieve medications that are not controlled substances.
  • Maintain a clean and organized work environment.
  • Perform calibration and quality control procedures to ensure optimal quality of MRI equipment and service.
  • Participate in maintaining patient and operational records.
  • Assume responsibility for own professional growth through continuing education and attending technical meetings.
Requirements
  • ARRT (American Registry of Radiologic Technologists) or ARMRIT (American Registry of Magnetic Resonance Imaging Technologists) registration as an MR technologist.
  • Associate degree or bachelor degree in an allied health field, and certification in another clinical imaging field, or 6 months supervised MRI clinical scanning experience.
  • One year MRI experience is preferred; expertise in transverse anatomy.
  • Knowledge of and/or experience in the correct use of body mechanics.
  • Current CPR certification.
  • Interpersonal skills necessary to interact effectively with patients and hospital staff.
