We are seeking a skilled MRI Technologist to join our team at Northwest Community Healthcare (NCH). As a key member of our Radiology Department, you will be responsible for performing MRI procedures with minimal supervision, documenting procedures, and maintaining patient records.
Key Responsibilities- Perform all established MRI imaging procedures, selecting proper technique protocols.
- Prepare and position patients for MRI procedures, using immobilization devices as required.
- Process and develop images per established procedures.
- Assess, treat, and care for patients of all ages, implementing assessment/treatment/care based on developmental stages.
- Retrieve medications that are not controlled substances.
- Maintain a clean and organized work environment.
- Perform calibration and quality control procedures to ensure optimal quality of MRI equipment and service.
- Participate in maintaining patient and operational records.
- Assume responsibility for own professional growth through continuing education and attending technical meetings.
- ARRT (American Registry of Radiologic Technologists) or ARMRIT (American Registry of Magnetic Resonance Imaging Technologists) registration as an MR technologist.
- Associate degree or bachelor degree in an allied health field, and certification in another clinical imaging field, or 6 months supervised MRI clinical scanning experience.
- One year MRI experience is preferred; expertise in transverse anatomy.
- Knowledge of and/or experience in the correct use of body mechanics.
- Current CPR certification.
- Interpersonal skills necessary to interact effectively with patients and hospital staff.
