Medical Assistant

We are seeking a highly skilled Certified Medical Assistant to join our team at Southcoast Health. As a key member of our clinical staff, you will provide exceptional patient care and support to our primary care providers and nurses.
Key Responsibilities- Provide medical assisting duties within and in support of assigned Medical Offices
- Facilitate efficient patient flow through the clinic or medical office
- Communicate with patients via telephone, including test results, surgery schedules, and procedures
- Update and access patient information using Electronic Medical Records (EMRs)
- Provide medical interpretation in a language other than English, as needed
- High school diploma or equivalent, plus specialized courses and training
- National third-party certification, such as AMCA, AAMA, AMT, CCMA, or NCMA, within 13 months of hire
- Successful completion of a Medical Assistant Program or equivalent medical office practice experience
- Prior experience with EMRs and health-related computer software, preferred
- One year of medical assistance work experience, preferred
- Fluency in a language other than English and medical interpreting, preferred
