Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Medical Office Assistant to join our team at Tufts Medicine. As a key member of our healthcare team, you will provide exceptional patient care and administrative support in a fast-paced medical office environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide professional and non-professional nursing care services in accordance with physician orders.
  • Perform Nursing Support duties, including positions in this nursing support work under the direction of physicians, mid-level practitioners, and registered nurses.
  • Assist with patient billing, ensuring CPT code, diagnosis code, and all supplies and procedures are indicated on charting.
  • Monitor supply inventory for clinic and order supplies as needed.
  • Participate in unit-specific quality improvement projects, including hand washing audits, time-outs, refrigerator/medication logs, and daily/monthly code cart checks.

Requirements:

  • Completed MA education from an accredited program or graduated within 36 months prior to the program becoming accredited.
  • Medical Assistant National Certification Attestation issued by a governing body (AAMA, AMT, NCCT, or NHA).
  • Two years of medical office experience.
  • Phlebotomy Certification.
  • Bi-Lingual.
