Job Summary:

We are seeking a skilled Radiologic Technologist to join our team at Wellstar Health System, Inc. in Hiram, Georgia. As a key member of our Diagnostic Imaging Services department, you will be responsible for performing a wide range of technical procedures, including radiography, fluoroscopy, and computed tomography.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Equipment Operation: You will be responsible for operating various imaging equipment, including radiographic machines, fluoroscopy units, and computed tomography scanners. You must be able to adjust technique to ensure high-quality images and maintain equipment in good working order.
  • Patient Care: You will work closely with patients to ensure their comfort and safety during procedures. This includes obtaining complete clinical histories, gathering examination data, and assessing for contraindicating conditions.
  • Quality Control: You will be responsible for producing high-quality images, including proper collimation, shielding, technique selection, penetration, and positioning. You must also ensure that equipment is fully operational prior to each use.
  • Operations: You will be responsible for maintaining a clean and orderly work environment, restocking linens and supplies, and transporting patients as needed.

Requirements:

  • Education: You must be a graduate of an AMA-approved School of Radiologic Technology.
  • Certifications: You must hold current certifications in Radiography (ARRT) and Basic Life Support (BLS) through the American Heart Association.
  • Experience: You must have entry-level experience in a radiologic technologist role.

Skills:

  • Communication: You must have excellent communication skills to interact with patients, physicians, and other healthcare professionals.
  • Teamwork: You must be able to work effectively in a team environment and prioritize tasks to meet deadlines.
