Patient Access Team Lead

At Florida Orthopaedic Institute, we are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Patient Access Lead to join our team. As a key member of our Patient Access department, you will play a vital role in ensuring the smooth operation of our day-to-day activities.
Key Responsibilities:- Assist in overseeing the day-to-day operations of the Patient Access department by monitoring staff performance and making necessary corrections to ensure timely, accurate, and professional service delivery.
- Provide leadership and guidance to staff to problem-solve identified situations and ensure compliance with company policies and procedures.
- Act as a backup for call-outs and scheduled PTO, ensuring seamless coverage and minimizing disruptions to our operations.
- Train new department employees and develop training materials to support their onboarding and ongoing development.
- Collaborate with supervisors and managers to create and maintain training programs, ensuring staff are equipped to handle new programs and processes.
- Escalate calls from staff and take ownership of resolution, keeping supervisors informed of any concerns.
- Monitor the Cancellation phone line messages and process incoming cancellation requests, rescheduling appointments as needed.
- Ensure compliance with all company plans, policies, and procedures, including those related to patient confidentiality and data protection.
- You must have a High School diploma or equivalent and 3-5 years of experience in a medical field, with a strong background in Patient Access, Registration, Scheduling, Insurance Benefits, or Authorization.
- You must be a multi-tasker, organized, and display a positive attitude with a positive mindset, being self-motivated and comfortable training new staff.
- You must possess excellent written, interpersonal, and oral communication skills, with a strong attention to detail and problem-solving abilities.
