The Opportunity

We're seeking an experienced Global Airfreight Operations Specialist to join our North American Operations team. As a key member of our front-line operations team, you'll be responsible for executing the end-to-end movement of global airfreight export shipments from the United States and Canada.

Your primary focus will be on driving a first-class customer experience by obsessing over quality and on-time performance. You'll work closely with internal and external partners, including steamship lines, air carriers, intermodal vendors, customs, trade lane management, warehousing, transloading, trucking, and the air operations team.

Key Responsibilities
  1. You will ensure that all shipments meet the highest standards of quality and are delivered on time.
  2. You will maintain excellent communication with customers, providing timely updates and resolving any issues that may arise.
  3. You will follow standard operating procedures (SOP) and contribute to the development of new processes and procedures to improve efficiency and productivity.
  4. You will participate in quoting and invoicing client shipments and manage their profitability.
  5. You will attend QBR and MBR presentation prep as well as hold client operational calls when necessary.
Requirements
  • 2+ years of experience in logistics, freight forwarding, supply chain, air carrier operations, or consulting.
  • Ability to adapt quickly to new technology and thrive in a fast-paced environment.
  • Effective time management and prioritization skills.
  • Attention to detail and problem-solving capabilities.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Teamwork and relationship-building skills.
