Position Overview
As a vital member of the finance team, you will play a key role in the preparation of comprehensive financial analysis reports, assist in the formulation of annual budgets, and gather essential information for external audits. You will serve as the primary contact for accounting-related inquiries within your designated business unit.

Key Responsibilities

  • Generate monthly financial reports along with all necessary supporting documentation to accurately reflect the financial health of assigned business units in a timely manner.
  • Record and prepare journal entries for assets, liabilities, revenues, and expenses by analyzing and compiling account data.
  • Conduct monthly reconciliations of bank statements with general ledger cash accounts, making adjustments as needed.
  • Maintain detailed monthly reconciliations for all balance sheet accounts.
  • Assist in evaluating the sufficiency of reserves for doubtful accounts related to inpatient and outpatient services.
  • Analyze, validate, and organize data to report discrepancies between actual and projected financial outcomes.
  • Act as a liaison between finance and operational teams by coordinating and analyzing financial data to support both areas.
  • Contribute to the annual budgeting process by coordinating the compilation of the budget and assisting with its reconciliation.
  • Prepare and compile necessary documentation for external audits and reviews by governmental agencies.
  • Engage in varied work assignments that require interpretation and independent decision-making.
  • Receive general guidance on routine tasks and detailed instructions for new projects or assignments.
  • Work with minimal supervision, seeking guidance when necessary and adhering to established procedures.
  • Make informed decisions regarding work methods, especially in ambiguous situations.
  • Provide administrative support as required.
  • Perform related duties as necessary. All responsibilities listed are considered essential functions of the role under the Americans with Disabilities Act.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree in Accounting or a related field is required.
  • 0-2 years of relevant experience is preferred.
  • Proficiency in Excel is required.
