About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Principal Electrical Engineer to join our Test Equipment Engineering Directorate at Raytheon Careers. As a key member of our multidisciplinary team, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and integrating test products for all Raytheon products.

Key Responsibilities
  • Design and develop test systems, test interface adapters, cabling, technical drawings, and schematics.
  • Contribute to the completion of all stages of test product development, including technical, cost, and schedule management.
  • Act as a technical leader in a multidisciplinary team environment, uncovering and resolving issues associated with test product development and implementation.
  • Develop and integrate digital, mixed-signal, and electrical system interconnects.
  • Utilize integrated development environments and debugging tools to troubleshoot software.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Science, Technology, Engineering, or Mathematics (STEM) and eight (8) years of prior relevant experience, or an Advanced degree and five (5) years of relevant experience.
  • Ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. government issued security clearance.
  • Experience with electrical engineering design, including troubleshooting, analysis, and test.
  • Experience with commonly used electrical engineering design and analysis tools, including Altium, DX Designer, Mentor Capital, and Creo Schematic.
  • Experience with commonly used test equipment, including oscilloscopes, DMMs, network analyzers, and power meters.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Master of Science degree in Science, Technology, Engineering, or Mathematics (STEM).
  • Ability to provide technical leadership in a multidisciplinary team environment.
  • Experience performing analog, digital, and/or RF design.
  • Experience designing, testing, and integrating digital, mixed-signal, and electrical system interconnects.
  • Self-starter and able to manage workload to meet assigned deadlines.
