Lead Carpenter Supervisor

About This Role
As a seasoned Supervisor at Rockford Construction, you will engage in a diverse range of tasks related to structural, rough, and finish carpentry. Your expertise will be applied across various residential and commercial construction endeavors. You will be accountable for updating and communicating project progress and challenges to upper management. Additionally, you will have the opportunity to guide and mentor your team as it expands.

Key Responsibilities
- Conduct rough carpentry tasks such as framing walls, constructing bulkheads, and layout of stringers, utilizing both wood and metal materials.
- Perform finish carpentry work, including the installation of wood bases, jambs, casings, hinge pockets, doors, windows, and sidelights.
- Delegate specific tasks to team members to ensure timely project completion.
- Oversee the installation of prefabricated and custom cabinetry and countertops.
- Manage door hardware installations, including handsets, closers, kick plates, panic bars, and sweeps.
- Support fellow carpenters with necessary tasks, promoting a collaborative work environment.
- Interpret blueprints and ensure compliance with current building codes.
- Organize and manage material deliveries efficiently.
- Maintain a strong focus on safety protocols at the job site.
- Review and understand contract documents.
- Ensure job site cleanliness by managing waste and organizing materials.
- Be prepared to perform the duties of a Trades Carpenter when not acting as a Trades Supervisor.
- Complete additional tasks as assigned.
Requirements
Education:
- A minimum of a High School Diploma or GED.
Experience:
- At least 5 years of carpentry experience with proven leadership abilities.
- Strong organizational skills with the capacity to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
- Ability to follow directions and collaborate effectively with others.
- Knowledge of MIOSHA and OSHA regulations relevant to assigned duties.
- Occasional lifting of up to 50 lbs.
Preferred Skills:
- First Aid and CPR Certification (safety training will be provided upon hire).

Work Environment
