Position Overview: The Electrical Engineering Manager is responsible for providing technical guidance and resource allocation for the design and programming of electrical systems and controls for our innovative amusement attractions.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Collaborate with project managers and the Engineering Director to outline the electrical and control system scope for upcoming projects.
  • Organize team assignments and modify priorities as necessary to align with the overall engineering timeline.
  • Support the Engineering Director in budgeting, resource management, and scheduling for the electrical design and engineering team.
  • Oversee the development and implementation of new project electrical systems, which includes: functional specifications, safety evaluations, documentation, input/output lists, schematics, hardware design, layout, cabling requirements, assembly, factory checklists, acceptance testing, and installation oversight.
  • Review and authorize all design and engineering outputs through the Engineering Change Order (ECO) process.
  • Ensure compliance with UL508A standards in the panel shop through adherence to relevant codes and best practices.
These responsibilities provide a general overview of the role and may evolve as necessary to meet the needs of S&S Worldwide. Candidates should possess the essential qualifications outlined below.

Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Electrical Engineering or controls programming from an accredited institution.
  • A minimum of 5 years of experience with PLCs, sensor and actuator technologies, and user interface implementation.
  • Proficient in creating and managing project timelines.
  • Excellent communication skills to effectively engage with engineering teams and clients.
  • Willingness to travel domestically and internationally as required.
Preferred Skills:
  • Experience in multi-disciplinary project design, coordinating with mechanical, structural, and electrical engineering.
  • Strong computer skills, including proficiency in SolidWorks or similar CAD software.
  • Familiarity with international amusement ride design standards.
  • Demonstrated leadership skills and experience managing engineering professionals.
  • Creative problem-solving abilities, a solid work ethic, and meticulous attention to detail.
