Job Title: Events Manager

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Events Manager to join our team at The World Justice Project. The successful candidate will be responsible for planning and executing strategic in-person and online events that support our mission to advance rule of law globally.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Plan and execute all operational elements of in-person, hybrid, and virtual events from start to finish, in alignment with budget, target audiences, and key objectives.
  • Identify, evaluate, and procure event vendors in compliance with our internal policies and reporting requirements.
  • Manage the work of vendors and contractors, including local event-planning agencies, venues, hotels, A/V providers, interpreters, caterers, and transportation companies.
  • Develop, oversee, and report on event budgets to ensure all events are executed within budget and in compliance with donor requirements.
  • Collaborate across all departments to organize event design items, website, financial reporting and compliance, and staffing and operational components.
  • Manage the selection and implementation of all technical event elements, such as online registration systems, mobile apps, and virtual/hybrid video platforms.
Requirements:
  • BA/BS with 7 or more years of experience in events management, preferably in the non-profit or government sector, or an MA/MS with 5 or more years of experience.
  • Thorough familiarity with the Zoom meeting and webinar platform and experience organizing Zoom hybrid and virtual events.
  • Superior project management and organizational abilities.
  • Excellent attention to detail, multi-tasking, and prioritization skills.
  • Creative problem-solving skills and the ability to quickly resolve issues or change plans prior to or during events as circumstances arise.
  • Strong oral communication and interpersonal skills, particularly across cultures.
  • Negotiation and contract management skills to secure cost-effective and high-quality services.
  • Experience developing and tracking event budgets.
  • English fluency is required; proficiency in an additional language (including Spanish or French) is a plus.
  • Experience with Salesforce and Mail Chimp is a plus.
  • Ability to travel domestically and internationally for trips up to one week in duration (less than 10% travel).
  • Commitment to The World Justice Project's mission and principles.

  • An annual salary range of $76,659-$103,489.
