Educational Lead Teacher for Elementary-Age Students

SalaryThe estimated annual salary for this role ranges between $46,000 and $51,000, depending on location and experience.
Job DescriptionWe are seeking an experienced Educational Lead Teacher to join our team at one of our campuses in Maryland. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing a split shift to provide care at both ends of the day, ensuring the health, welfare, and safety of students during this time.
The ideal candidate will have excellent communication skills, the ability to multitask, and a warm, friendly demeanor. They will be expected to create a consistent, safe, and positive learning environment for all students and staff. Additionally, they will demonstrate effective leadership among the classroom team, supporting the physical, socio-emotional, and developmental needs of each child in the classroom.
The successful candidate will also be responsible for supervising preschool children, providing for their educational needs and interests using a creative and age-appropriate curriculum, and demonstrating a strong understanding of child development principles and instructional strategies.
Required Skills and QualificationsTo be considered for this role, you must possess the following qualifications:
- A minimum of MSDE 90hr School-Age Certification or CDA with the School-Age Endorsement
- 1-3 years of relevant experience working with preschool-age children
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to multitask and prioritize tasks effectively
- Strong knowledge of MSDE regulations and child development principles
