This position requires a minimum of MSDE 90hr Infant/Toddler Certification or CDA Certification with the Infant/Toddler Endorsement.

About the Role:

  • We are seeking Lead Teachers to join our Infant and Toddler programs at various campuses across Maryland.
  • Campus Locations:
    • Apple Ridge/Gaithersburg: Conveniently located near 270 & Rt. 355.
    • Downtown Bethesda: In the heart of exciting Bethesda/Chevy Chase (metro accessible).
    • Greenwood/Hyattstown: Safely located in the old Kaiser building in a growing area by Prince George's Plaza (metro accessible).
    • NRC/Rockville: Right in the middle of the action on 'the Pike' across from Pike & Rose (metro accessible).
    • Potomac Village: In the heart of Potomac off of the intersection of Falls and River Roads, with public transportation access to the 2T or #47 bus.
  • Available positions are full time, Monday to Friday, 9am-6pm.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide educational support: Meeting the individual needs and interests of infant or toddler children, ages 6 weeks - 24 months, using a creative and age-appropriate curriculum.
  • Safety and supervision: Ensuring the health, welfare, and safety of all students.
  • Supporting child development: Meeting the physical, socio-emotional, and developmental needs of each child in the classroom.
  • Leadership and communication: Demonstrating effective leadership among the classroom team and positive interpersonal relations with children, families, colleagues, and community.
  • Classroom management: Creating a consistent, safe, and positive learning environment for all students and staff.

Requirements:

Our ideal candidate will have 1-3 years of relevant experience and the following qualifications:

  • A minimum of MSDE 90hr Infant/Toddler Certification or CDA Certification with the Infant/Toddler Endorsement.
  • Excellent understanding of child development principles and instructional strategies.
  • Strong knowledge of MSDE regulations.
  • A warm, friendly, and cool-tempered demeanor.
  • Proficient technological skills, including Microsoft Office.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, including grammar and reading skills.
  • Reliability and punctuality.
  • Highly organized with excellent prioritization and multitasking skills.
  • Team-oriented with a willingness to collaborate with others.
