About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Claims Risk Manager to join our team at Lennar Homes. As a key member of our Risk Management department, you will play a critical role in protecting the financial assets of our company.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage Workers Compensation claim activity from initial claim notice to claim conclusion, ensuring a timely return to work and coordinating with Benefits, Payroll, and Human Resources.
  • Assist the Director of Risk and business teams in handling General Liability, Property, Builders Risk, and Auto claims nationwide.
  • Oversee the activity of Third Party Administrators and/or adjusters on a daily basis, focusing on all claims.
  • Analyze claims, interpret insurance policies, and direct strategies for resolving claims in coordination with the Legal Department.
  • Evaluate and authorize claim settlements within given limits of authority.
  • Communicate effectively with the Legal Department and business teams on updates, claim information requests, and recommendations.
  • Review and track Incident Reports, follow up for additional information, and make recommendations to the Director of Risk on insurance programs that may be triggered.
  • Investigate, evaluate, and strategize on resolution of non-litigated matters.
  • Prepare monthly claims reports and identify loss trends.
  • Assist with loss run review and analysis.
  • Maintain Workers' Comp-related OSHA Logs (OSHA 300) for all required business teams daily and distribute annually according to OSHA guidelines.
  • Support the Director of Risk Management in day-to-day operations as needed.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Business or Finance or related experience.
  • 5+ years of experience in claims management.
  • Knowledge of a Captive Insurance Company is preferred.
  • Strong organizational and communication skills are essential.
  • Experience with Outlook, Excel, Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, and Autonomy/i-Manage HP is a plus.
  • Travel is required.
  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
