Position Overview:
King's Insurance Staffing is looking for a dedicated Workers' Compensation Claims Supervisor to lead our claims team in the Northeast Region. This role involves supervising a group of five Claims Examiners who manage both lost time and medical-only claims from initiation to resolution. The supervisor will be tasked with allocating claims to staff members and providing ongoing technical support and guidance through effective management practices.
Key Responsibilities:
- Supervise and manage lost time and medical-only claims across the New England area.
- Recruit, train, mentor, and develop Workers' Compensation Claims personnel.
- Organize staff duties and direct operations, ensuring optimal use of resources to achieve departmental objectives.
- Maintain case reserves in alignment with company standards.
- Authorize settlements on claims that exceed the adjuster's designated limits.
- Formulate, propose, and execute short-term goals that align with the organization's business strategies.
- Identify and evaluate trends within the claims portfolio at various levels including adjuster, unit, and account.
Qualifications:
- A minimum of 7 years of experience in Workers' Compensation claims.
- At least 2 years of supervisory experience in Workers' Compensation claims.
- In-depth knowledge of Workers' Compensation Law in CT, MA, NH, or RI.
- An active adjuster's license is preferred.
- Proven leadership, coaching, and teamwork capabilities.
- Exceptional customer service and organizational skills.
- High School Diploma required; Bachelor's Degree is preferred but not mandatory.
Compensation and Benefits:
- Annual base salary ranging from $100,000 to $120,000, plus bonus opportunities.
