Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Nurse Practitioner to join our Behavioral Health team at Geisinger Medical Center. As a key member of our interdisciplinary team, you will provide high-quality patient care, collaborate with physicians, and contribute to the development of treatment plans.

Responsibilities
  • Assess and establish presumptive diagnoses, implementing treatment plans for patients with mental health conditions.
  • Order and interpret diagnostic testing, consulting as necessary, and prescribe appropriate medical therapy.
  • Communicate effectively with patients, families, and healthcare teams to ensure seamless care coordination.
  • Instill confidence in patients by providing safe, ethical care and health education.
  • Stay up-to-date with policies, guidelines, and best practices in behavioral health care.
Requirements
  • Master's Degree in Nursing with a focus on Nurse Practitioner (Required)
  • Basic Life Support Certification (Required)
  • Certified Nurse Practitioner (American Academy of Nurse Practitioners) (Required)
  • Licensed Registered Nurse (Pennsylvania) (Required)
