Salary and BenefitsWe offer a competitive total rewards package, including base wage and other earnings such as bonus, incentives, and commissions. The estimated salary for this position is $62,500-$85,000 per year, depending on experience, education, training, specialized skills, and certifications.

Job DescriptionThis Senior Operations Specialist will play a key role in the success of our day-to-day grain operations by guiding our team with daily activities, providing strategic leadership, and ensuring a safe working environment for employees and customers.
The ideal candidate will oversee daily tasks, work closely with grain operations leadership to meet customer requirements, quality standards, and maximize productivity. They will also be responsible for developing and maintaining knowledge of commodities handled at the location and complying with company policy and government regulations.
The successful candidate will have excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work independently and collaboratively as part of a team. They will be highly organized, proactive, and committed to delivering exceptional results in a fast-paced environment.
Responsibilities- Carry out general labor responsibilities promptly and efficiently, including preparing trucks and railcars for loading/unloading and controlling load out functions.
- Develop and maintain knowledge of commodities handled at the location and comply with company policy and government regulations.
- Work with customers in a courteous and professional manner.
- Load and unload agricultural inputs from railcars and/or trucks using heavy or light-duty machinery/equipment.
- Understand and operate automated scale/dump systems.
- Conduct and properly record daily, weekly, and monthly maintenance tasks, including lubrication of pumps, valves, and loading arms.
- Monitor and maintain quality of inventory (may include blended, bulk, or packaged product).
- Deliver products such as fertilizer, chemical, seed, feed, and others to customer sites.
- Keep all work areas clean, orderly, and safe, conducting regular housekeeping duties.
- Perform grounds maintenance, including snow removal, and warehouse work, including driving a loader, loading/unloading inventory, forklift operation, and general maintenance.
- 2+ years of experience in Operations and/or Business Operations.
- Ability to operate machinery such as loaders, conveyors, tractors, and track mobile.
- Ability to work extended hours during peak seasons to meet business demands.
- High School diploma or GED preferred.
- Ability to apply agriculture expertise and knowledge.
- Pre-employment screening may be required based on job requirements and industry guidelines.
- Ability to lift 75 lbs.
- Ability to climb rail cars, ladders, stairs, and bins.
- Ability to work in dust and adverse weather conditions and temperatures.
