Key Responsibilities
  • Play a vital part in revolutionizing our audit function by identifying and implementing process improvements.
  • Develop and execute audit plans, respond to tax authority information document requests, and negotiate audit strategies and results.
  • Collaborate with key stakeholders to identify refund opportunities within the audit process.
  • Build strong relationships with taxing authorities to resolve outstanding audit issues.
Requirements
  • Relevant tax audit and controversy experience.
  • Experience managing complex tax audits and audit plans.
  • A track record of working with tax jurisdictions to resolve audit issues.
  • Juris Doctor (J.D.) qualification (preferred) or Advanced Tax or Accounting Degree (preferred).
  • Excellent relationship-building skills with both internal and external partners.
  • Proficiency in working with big data, complex reconciliations, and new technology.
  • Proficiency in identifying process improvements.
  • In-depth knowledge of various states tax laws and regulations and the ability to apply such laws to business operations.
  • Exceptional Organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • A talent for simplifying complex tax topics and issues for internal and external stakeholders.
  • Strong tax research and writing skills.
  • A passion for tackling challenges and engaging Fortune 1 scale.
