Position Summary: We are seeking a highly motivated and talented individual to join our team as a Tax Manager - Indirect Tax (Audit and Controversy) at Walmart. This is a dynamic and challenging role that allows you to leverage your expertise and create value for our business partners while driving innovation and transformation in the world of tax.
In this role, you will play a vital part in revolutionizing our audit function by identifying and implementing process improvements. You will develop and execute audit plans, respond to tax authority information document requests, and negotiate audit strategies and results. You will also collaborate with key stakeholders to identify refund opportunities within the audit process and build strong relationships with taxing authorities to resolve outstanding audit issues.
What we're looking for: Relevant tax audit and controversy experience, experience managing complex tax audits and audit plans, a track record of working with tax jurisdictions to resolve audit issues. A Juris Doctor (J.D.) qualification or Advanced Tax or Accounting Degree is preferred. Excellent relationship-building skills with both internal and external partners, proficiency in working with big data, complex reconciliations, and new technology, and in-depth knowledge of various states tax laws and regulations and the ability to apply such laws to business operations.

The annual salary range for this position is $80,000.00-$155,000.00. Additional compensation includes annual or quarterly performance bonuses. Additional compensation for certain positions may also include stock.
