Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Principal Systems Administrator-Designer Engineer to join our Raytheon Solutions Design & Integration (SDI) team. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for designing, integrating, and administering system solutions within classified and unclassified program work environments.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Work with senior engineers to determine system requirements, specifications, input/output processes, and working parameters for hardware/software compatibility and maintenance of Information Systems.
  • Provide leadership to support a varied range of administrative tasking, including corrective/preventive maintenance, recurring operations functions, and system optimization.
  • Coordinate technical and process document reviews and resolve system administration, engineering, and integration issues.
  • Provide IT systems administration/design support in a heterogeneous Microsoft Windows and Redhat Enterprise Linux environment.
  • Develop and coordinate IT technology strategies, roadmaps, and reference architectures.
  • Perform technology evaluations, develop proof-of-concepts, and look for opportunities to introduce advanced Information Technologies into solutions and products.
Requirements:
  • Must be able to obtain Department of Defense Directive (DoDD) 8140 / 8570 Certification requirements (CompTIA Security+ CE or equivalent certification) within 6 months of start date.
  • Must be able to travel up to 10%.
  • Typically, a bachelor's degree and 8 years of direct experience or a master's degree in and 5 years of direct experience.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Extensive experience with Microsoft Windows, Red Hat, Ansible, VMware, Containerization, and Netapp Storage devices.
  • The ability to clearly articulate ideas, process steps, and technical data in written, graphical, and spoken dialogue.

Payments under these annual programs are not guaranteed and are dependent upon a variety of factors including, but not limited to, individual performance, business unit performance, and/or the company's performance.
