Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Principal RF Design Engineer to join our team at Raytheon Careers. As a key member of our Receiver, Exciter, and Back-End Processing (REBEP) Department, you will be responsible for designing and developing the next generation of Raytheon's Radar Receiver, Exciter, and Transmitter products.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement RF system architectures, requirements analysis, and hardware design
  • Design and optimize RF circuits, including filters, limiters, and couplers
  • Work with interdisciplinary teams to integrate RF systems with power, digital, and mechanical components
  • Provide technical support during transition to production and support to production activities
  • Manage cost and schedule constraints, and participate in proposal writing
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Science, Technology, Engineering, or Mathematics (STEM) and a minimum of 10 years' experience, or an Advanced Degree in a related field and a minimum of 7 years' experience
  • Experience with Microwave/RF system analysis, design, and test
  • Proficiency in electromagnetic simulation tools (e.g., HFSS, ADS, CST) and analytical tools (e.g., MATLAB)
  • Ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. government issued security clearance
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience translating system performance and operation specifications into hardware requirements, design, and test specifications
  • Background in designing for manufacturability, producibility, and cost constraints
  • Problem-solving skills with ability to identify alternate solutions to overcome technical challenges
