KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

Regular responsibilities encompass (but are not limited to):

Accounting Services:
  • Guarantee the accurate and timely execution of accounting functions typically involved in a monthly financial close, including the preparation of financial statements.
  • Oversee financial close procedures, ensuring compliance with deadlines and quality benchmarks.
  • Facilitate budgeting, financial forecasting, and planning activities, collaborating with clients and internal teams.
  • Examine financial data, identify trends, variances, and opportunities for enhancement, providing insights and recommendations to clients and management.
  • Collaborate with audit and tax partners.
Client Engagement and Support:
  • Act as the primary contact for key clients, fostering and maintaining robust relationships built on trust and exceptional service.
  • Comprehend clients' business goals, challenges, and needs, offering strategic financial advice and solutions.
  • Address client inquiries, resolve issues, and ensure high levels of client satisfaction.
  • Convey financial information, insights, and recommendations to clients, management, and stakeholders in a clear and concise manner.
  • Identify opportunities for expanding services to meet client needs.
Team Leadership:
  • Lead and manage a team of accounting professionals, including recruitment, training, and performance oversight.
  • Establish performance objectives, provide ongoing feedback and coaching, and conduct regular performance assessments.
  • Encourage a collaborative and high-performing team atmosphere, promoting professional development and knowledge sharing.
  • Work with cross-functional teams, including finance, tax, and audit, to ensure effective coordination and delivery of accounting services.
Process Enhancement and Compliance:
  • Continuously assess and enhance accounting processes, systems, and controls to drive efficiency and accuracy.
  • Implement best practices and streamline workflows to optimize productivity and quality of deliverables.
  • Stay informed about accounting regulations (U.S. GAAP) and industry trends, implementing changes as necessary.
  • Ensure adherence to accounting principles (U.S. GAAP), regulations, and client-specific requirements.
  • Support external audits by providing necessary documentation and addressing audit findings.
  • Develop and maintain robust internal controls to protect client assets and ensure data integrity.
  • Oversee client billing, accounts receivable, departmental budgets, financial performance, and engagement profitability.
  • Drive the achievement of departmental objectives, aligning with the company's strategic vision and ensuring successful outcomes for consulting projects and client engagements.
QUALIFICATIONS WE SEEK

Required Education and Experience:
  • Bachelor's Degree in accounting, finance, or business.
  • A minimum of 5 years of relevant experience in Accounting/Finance and management/supervisory roles within public accounting, professional services, or corporate settings.
  • Comprehensive understanding of advanced accounting principles (U.S. GAAP).
Preferred Education and Experience:
  • Advanced degrees or certifications.
  • MBA and/or CPA license is highly preferred.
  • Experience managing large teams.
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills.
  • Familiarity with technology platforms including Sage Intacct, QuickBooks Online, and Microsoft Office.
