Intellectual Property Attorney – AI and Cloud Technologies

Kilpatrick Townsend's dedicated team in Electronics & Software is on the lookout for a USPTO-registered Attorney or Patent Agent. Candidates should possess a degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or a closely related discipline. The preferred applicant will have a minimum of 3 years of relevant industry experience in the domains of Artificial Intelligence, Machine Learning, and/or Cloud Computing. Experience may also encompass patent work associated with areas such as image processing, database management, access control, natural language processing/understanding (NLP/NLU), and autonomous systems.
The ideal candidate must demonstrate attention to detail and possess strong written and verbal communication skills. Proficiency in technical writing is advantageous. As part of the application process, transcripts and writing samples will be required. This role is particularly suited for an Agent with exceptional writing capabilities and an interest in transitioning to an Attorney role. Candidates for the Patent Attorney position should hold the relevant state bar license for the office location.
This position offers an exciting opportunity to engage with cutting-edge technologies across a diverse range of technical fields. Expected salary ranges are as follows: $150,000-$250,000 for attorneys and $125,000-$195,000 for patent agents.
Office Locations: Options include major cities across the United States.
