Infrastructure Systems Architect

We are looking for a skilled and committed Infrastructure Systems Architect to become part of our engineering team responsible for overseeing essential infrastructure that supports the financial sector. The role involves the design, implementation, support, and maintenance of Windows and VMWare server and storage systems throughout the organization. The primary goal is to guarantee the reliability and robustness of production systems.
Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science with a minimum of 10 years of experience in a distributed Windows and RHEL Server environment.
- Proficient in managing and maintaining enterprise-level storage solutions.
- In-depth experience with VMWare virtualization technologies.
- Familiarity with Dell backup technologies.
- Experience in managing Windows components such as Active Directory, GPO, and Microsoft clustering.
- Proven ability to install, administer, and troubleshoot software and hardware in large-scale, mission-critical, 24/7 production settings, ideally within banking or similar financial institutions.
- Excellent communication skills to interact effectively with peers, users, and management at all levels.
- Ability to work collaboratively within a team and independently with minimal supervision.
Desired Qualifications:
- Experience with Dell EMC enterprise-level compute and storage platforms, preferably VMAX, PowerScale, Isilon, and Powerflex.
- Strong knowledge of Red Hat Enterprise Linux.
- Experience with Cisco MDS and/or fiber channel technologies.
- AWS cloud experience in a hybrid environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide third-level production support for all server environments.
- Participate in server contingency testing, contributing to disaster recovery and business continuity planning validation efforts.
- Adhere to change control standards.
- Comply with security and risk management protocols.
- Test and automate the deployment of upgrades, including hardware, operating systems, drivers, firmware, and patches.
- Create documentation for server modifications in the production environment to assist Network Operations.
- Conduct audits to ensure compliance with security settings and industry standards such as NIST, ISO, CIS, PCI, and FFIEC.
Work Environment:
The work is primarily sedentary in nature, with a generally favorable environment. Adequate lighting and temperature conditions are maintained, and there are no hazardous or unpleasant conditions. The role is typically performed in an office setting with standard office equipment available.
Occasional travel may be necessary.
Employees are expected to report to the office two to three days each week.
