Position Overview:


The Beverage and Event Operations Manager is tasked with the development and execution of a Four Diamond level of service and a sophisticated beverage department operation. This includes designing and implementing private team-building events, comprehensive staff training, and maintaining an exquisite wine list, along with assisting in inventory management.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Design and curate a dynamic portfolio of engaging events for banquets and property-wide activities. Develop themed presentations and educational materials as needed.
  • Host special event activities that enhance guest experiences through expert beverage service.
  • Monitor service quality during meal periods and banquet functions, ensuring personalized wine and beverage service.
  • Continuously elevate the beverage program by conducting training sessions and seminars to enhance team members' beverage service skills and product knowledge.
  • Establish a core knowledge base for each outlet, covering relevant offerings, service techniques, proper glassware, beverage pairings, and understanding guest preferences.
  • Drive guest satisfaction scores for the Food & Beverage department, enhancing the overall guest experience.
  • Contribute innovative ideas to improve guest experiences and assist in their implementation.
  • Research, recommend, and organize the wine menu and beverage program, ensuring each outlet maintains a unique identity.
  • Collaborate with F&B department heads and purchasing teams on requisitioning, receiving, storing, and inventorying all beverage products to meet budgeted targets.
  • Analyze beverage cost variances and provide insightful reports.
  • Participate in the ideation and execution of stylish specialty team-building events that align with industry trends.
  • Attend preparatory meetings, including menu meetings, BEO meetings, and daily pre-shift meetings.
  • Provide timely feedback on event success and suggest improvements for future offerings.
  • Engage in ongoing Sommelier education through seminars and industry events, sharing insights on new beverage trends.
  • Serve as the F&B Manager-on-duty as required.
Qualifications:
  • Five years of experience in food and beverage management.
  • Two years of supervisory experience.
  • Minimum introductory level certification from the Court of Master Sommeliers or equivalent.
  • Strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office; knowledge of Infor or other hospitality platforms is a plus.
