We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Executive Chef to join our team at Utah Tech University. Key Responsibilities- Develop and implement menus that meet the needs of our diverse student body and align with our institution's values and goals.
- Supervise and train kitchen staff to ensure excellent food quality, presentation, and service.
- Monitor food costs, labor costs, and inventory levels to ensure efficient operations and minimize waste.
- Collaborate with other supervisors to plan and refine menu offerings, ensuring that they meet the needs of our students and align with our institution's goals.
- Ensure compliance with all relevant food safety and sanitation regulations, as well as federal, state, and local laws and regulations.
- Develop and implement strategies to reduce waste and optimize revenue/cost balance for the department.
- Perform other duties as assigned by the Director of Dining Services.
- Bachelor's degree in Culinary Arts or related field, or equivalent experience.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in food service management, with progressively greater responsibilities.
- Proven track record of success in menu development, kitchen operations, and staff supervision.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with diverse groups of people.
- Knowledge of food safety and sanitation regulations, as well as federal, state, and local laws and regulations.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changing circumstances.
