We are seeking a highly experienced Easement Acquisition Specialist to join our team at National Experienced Workforce Solutions. As a key member of our conservation program, you will play a critical role in supporting the Department of Agriculture's Natural Resources Conservation Service (NRCS) through a grant administered program.
Key Responsibilities- Document Preparation: Assist with drafting documents and other guidance materials, including training materials, to support easement program implementation with a focus on water rights, drought, and water conservation.
- Review and Quality Assurance: Review deed terms, exhibits, appraisals, and plans to ensure compliance with easement program requirements and quality assurance activities.
- Collaboration and Coordination: Coordinate with and facilitate collaboration with various discipline experts within NRCS, USDA, and other land management agencies to incorporate water conservation issues into easement program delivery and stewardship concepts.
- Other Tasks: Perform other tasks as assigned to support easement program implementation.
- Experience: Minimum of 10 years of experience in easement acquisition with a focus on water rights, legal work related to water rights, natural resources conservation, or similar fields.
- Education: BA/BS Degree in Law, natural resources conservation, or similar fields.
- Skills: Proficiency in Windows, MS Word, MS Excel, PowerPoint, and other systems, including National Easement Staging Tool, Conservation Desktop, and Conservation Assessment Ranking Tool.
- Training and Development: Access to AgLearn based training courses, including Annual information system security, workplace violence, anti-harassment, records management, and civil rights training.
- Remote Work Arrangements: Opportunity to work remotely with flexible arrangements.
- Travel Requirements: Occasional travel, including overnight stays and air travel, with rental cars available as needed.
