Job Summary

As a Gas Measurement Specialist at Berkshire Hathaway Energy, you will play a critical role in ensuring the safe and efficient transmission of natural gas across our vast pipeline network. Your expertise in gas measurement and regulation will be essential in maintaining the integrity of our operations and ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements.

Key Responsibilities
  • Install, operate, maintain, repair, and test various gas measurement equipment, including diaphragm, rotary, and turbine type positive displacement meters.
  • Verify the proper calibration of chromatographs and other measurement devices.
  • Assist in troubleshooting and resolving issues related to gas measurement and regulation.
  • Install gauge lines and piping to instruments, meters, and other gas measurement equipment.
  • Prepare and maintain accurate records and reports.
  • Perform minor repairs to equipment and ensure it remains in safe and proper working condition.

Requirements

High school diploma or equivalent required. Minimum one year of combined related gas industry experience, relevant military experience, or other related experience. Additional knowledge, skills, and abilities include the ability to operate various electronic and pneumatic devices, install gauge lines and piping, and understand and comply with all safety procedures. Instrumentation and control experience a plus. Must pass written aptitude test, gas measurement orientation testing, and gas measurement final test after six months of gas measurement training.
